Feaured Artist: Tyi Poyer |

“Morning has broken” Tyi Poyer was born on the 9th of September 1981, who would have thought a simple girl from Gonzales, would become the new breed of a Gospel Music Minister to evolve in Trinidad and Tobago. Tyi began writing at the age of 15, and has a passion for music. As she grew her Pastor appointed her as the choir director at age 22. Her desire to minister at a greater scale allowed her the opportunity to work with Celestial Stars, where she was then chosen by producers to record their work. Tyi Poyer received vocal training by Mrs. Aque of Pinnacle Of Rubies, as well as working on her first single “Give it to Jesus” with Mr. Richard Jones of Dunamis Records. Ministering at Youth Rallies and Gospel concerts helped her develop more as a Gospel Minister. She was given the opportunity of sharing the stage with the Renowned Music Minister Damita Haddon and local Ministers Pastor Terrance Bains and the Burton Sisters in 2008. Completing her first Single was very rewarding, and as she keeps her focus on her future in the Music Industry, she keeps reminding herself of whom she is in Christ Jesus. Not forgetting her past her present and her future. She knows that there are always challenges in life, but her hope is in knowing that when things get hard to deal with, just “Give it to Jesus”.
